Creating A Stylish Master Bedroom
Article by Paint Coatings
The bedroom is more than just the place where you sleep, especially if you are lucky enough to have a master bedroom. With some simple steps you might be able to give the place even more style and functionality enabling you to enjoy the room throughout the day.
1. Unify Windows of Varying Heights
Room with vaulted ceilings often have windows of differing sizes on the same wall. This can make it tricky to hang drapes. The key is to hang drapes from different heights but to unify the look by going for a bold border of a different color that runs along the same length for each drape.
2. Create a Sense of Airiness
Leave your window panels pulled open to give the illusion that your windows are larger. This will allow natural lights to get through. You might also consider uncluttering the space close to windows to give the impression that the room is aerated and bigger. A room with an unobstructed view is one of the best ways to give a sense of airiness.
3. Add Extra Coziness With A Couch
If you have a TV in your room, you might want to add a small sofa at the foot of your bed. This adds an additional cozy space to your bedroom and you might use it for reading or working. You might consider leaving a walk-through space of about 30 inches in front of your couch to allow for a good circulation in your bedroom. You might want to include a coffee table as well if you have enough space for it.
